Designer's Notes

  • A drought-tolerant garden design with natural texture and garden elements .

  • Mix a rich variety of stones, river stones, gravels, and pottery to create an artful yet subdued design.

  • Create a meandering path leading to the home entrance through a deconstructed garden.

  • Use a subdued color palette, with a few color splashes, featuring appropriate plants for the climate zone.

  • Create a serene space surrounded by a bursting butterfly and hummingbird garden for relaxation.

  • Improve the privacy of the setting to allow for a calm sanctuary in the midst of the city; the entire composition has grace, feels organic, and should not be forced.

Client Review

I highly recommend Catherine Bosler for your landscape design! She provided a great drought-tolerant design for our front and back yards to replace our lawns. Her love of landscape design, gardens, and unique plants is infectious. She worked closely with us throughout the process and was happy to make any adjustments if needed. She also brought in a very good crew to install the design. We couldn’t be happier.
